The widow of a man shot dead in Volgograd told about the children's longing for their father

The widow of Pyotr Malikov, who was shot dead in a Volgograd store, told "Izvestia" on September 28 about the difficult emotional state of four fatherless children.

According to Natalia Malikova, the children are still in shock. The younger sons cannot fully comprehend what happened and constantly ask about their father.

"Junior is crying, everyone is crying. They cry, they want to go to Dad, they talk. They miss you," Malikova shared.

The wife of the deceased was on the street nearby at the time of the shooting. When she heard the shots, she ran into the sales area, but her husband was already dead.

The woman noted that she had not previously known the shooter. At the same time, the employees of the outlet described the attacker as a scandalous customer who was often intoxicated and provoked conflicts in the store.

Relatives describe Malikov as a kind and sympathetic person.

The murder of a 36-year-old resident of Volgograd during a conflict in a grocery store became known a day earlier. The "Izvestia" source stated that the tragedy occurred after the deceased made a remark to an aggressive 32-year-old customer named Vladimir K. When the latter headed for the exit, the victim followed him and was shot.

One of the eyewitnesses of the tragedy shared with "Izvestia" that everything happened right in front of the dead man's children, one of whom, a nine—year—old boy, later held his dying father's head on his lap.
