What happened in the Volgograd store

The shooting occurred on September 27 in one of the shops of the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. As "Izvestia" found out, a conflict arose at the cash register between two men after 32-year-old Vladimir K. began to behave aggressively towards other customers. A 36-year-old man made a remark to him and stood up for the people nearby.

After that, Vladimir K. headed for the exit, and the man followed him. The conflict continued, and the suspect opened fire. According to eyewitnesses, six shots were fired in the room.

The victim received several gunshot wounds and died on the spot. An eyewitness told "Izvestia" that the wounds were in the groin, arm and chest area. Spent shell casings remained near the ATM after the incident.

According to "Izvestia", the deceased was returning home with his children and went to the store with them on the way. His father Pavel said that his son had never known the attacker before and had never seen him. The relatives of the deceased also do not know anything about the possible causes of the conflict.

As an eyewitness told "Izvestia", two of his sons, about nine and six years old, were in the store with the man. After the shooting, the eldest child held his father's head on his lap and cried. The woman added that she arrived at the scene three to four minutes after the shots were fired. In total, the deceased has a wife and four children.

Vladimir K. was detained shortly after the incident. The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Volgograd region reported that the man pleaded guilty.

According to the suspect, after the initial conflict, the man continued to follow him. Then Vladimir K. took out a pistol and warned that he could open fire. When the opponent did not stop, the detainee fired several times, after which he left the store.
