Russia is among the top 20 countries in the world in terms of investment climate

Russia is among the top 20 jurisdictions in the world in terms of investment climate. This was announced on August 10 by Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), referring to international assessments.

"In terms of legislation and business costs when launching a project, according to international metrics, Russia is already among the top 20 best jurisdictions in the world in terms of investment climate," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Chupsheva stressed that for the further development of the investment environment, it is important to take into account the experience of other countries and create competitive conditions for the implementation of projects in Russia. According to her, this will allow attracting promising technological developments and specialists.

The head of the ASI stressed that one of the indicators of the effectiveness of investment policy is international ratings, including the new Business Ready of the World Bank. According to her, Russia will be included in the third wave of assessment, as the World Bank gradually expands the list of rating participants and applies the updated methodology.

Chupsheva added that using the current criteria, the country could take 13th place among 112 countries.
