Officers of the command of the 51st Combined Arms army of the Center group of forces spoke about the progress of the liberation of the city of Belitskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The footage was shown on August 5 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were represented by units of the 14th and 15th brigades of the National Guard, as well as the 25th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the support of the Defense Ministry. They tried to counterattack several times, but all attempts failed: the enemy was detected even as they approached and artillery and FPV drones were used.

"If we see a threat, fire damage is immediately inflicted. If you can't see it from above, you can see it from the ground. Air cover is carried out in various ways, enemy drones are being destroyed," said Andrei Alekseev, head of the unmanned systems forces.

According to the Ministry of Defense, on average, up to 20-25 heavy hexacopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are destroyed per day.

Also, during the fighting, attempts to attack enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups operating in Russian military uniforms were suppressed - all of them were eliminated. The data from the prisoners made it possible to identify the routes of movement of the AFU groups and strengthen reconnaissance.

The liberation of Belitsky opened the way for the Russian army to Dobropillya, the next important logistical hub for the enemy.

"The next large—scale settlement is Dobropillya. With the loss of the AFU of Dobropillia, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have the opportunity to reach the operational space to the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region. There are currently no large settlements that the enemy could cling to for a long time," explained the head of intelligence with the call sign Apostol.

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced on July 27 that the liberation of the city of Belitskoye had disrupted the logistics chains of Ukrainian formations in the area. According to him, the fighting for the settlement continued for several months, as the enemy created a powerful fortified area there and used the city as a stronghold to hold positions.
