The Ukrainian army could launch drones in Gelendzhik from the Odessa region. This assumption was made on August 3 by Maxim Kondratiev, the founder of the unmanned aviation training center.

"Most likely, the drones were launched from the Odessa region," Kondratiev said in an interview with aif.ru .

He suggested that after the launch, the drones could fly around Crimea and continue flying over the Black Sea. According to the expert, for such attacks, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) usually use the same models of drones: FP-1 and AN-196 "Fierce" long-range.

The wreckage of an APU drone fell on the same day in the village of Arkhipo-Osipovka near Gelendzhik. According to the latest information, seven people were killed and 40 others were injured in the incident. An operational base has been deployed at the scene of the tragedy. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that NATO and the European Union, which are actively sponsoring Ukraine, have themselves become part of an international terrorist network.

Later, a spontaneous memorial appeared in Krasnodar near the cross of worship near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in memory of those who died in Arkhipo-Osipovka. One of the victims said that a Ukrainian drone had purposefully attacked a gazebo with people near Gelendzhik.
