A child and his grandmother were injured in an attack by an APU drone in the Belgorod region

A three-year-old child and his grandmother were seriously injured in a drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Belgorod region. This was announced on August 3 at the operational headquarters of the region.

"A three—year—old boy received multiple shrapnel wounds, and his grandmother received a penetrating wound to the abdominal cavity," the ministry said in a publication on the Maks messenger.

The injured were taken to the Krasnoyaruzhskaya central regional hospital. Their condition is assessed as serious. After providing first aid, the child is planned to be transferred to the Belgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, and the woman to the Rakityanskaya CRH.

In addition, in the village of Proletarsky, Rakityansky district, the windows of a private house were blown out after a drone strike.

In the Shebekinsky district, near the village of Dobroye, a truck burned down as a result of the detonation of an FPV drone. In the village of Belyanka, a drone attacked a passenger car, which was damaged. In Novaya Tavolzhanka, an FPV drone pierced the roof of a private house, and in Shebekin, one drone damaged a fence and a car near an apartment building, the second destroyed an outbuilding.

The governor of the region, Alexander Shuvaev, announced on August 2 that a teenager was killed and two more children were injured as a result of an attack by an APU drone in the Belgorod region in the village of Printsevka near a playground. On the same day, Maria Lvova-Belova, the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights and Chairman of the Children's Protection Fund, announced that the two injured girls were in moderate condition.
