- Tsivilev announced the normalization of fuel supplies in Siberia and southern Russia
The fuel supply situation is normalizing in a number of regions, with queues for refueling in the Trans—Baikal Territory, Kaliningrad and Irkutsk regions, as well as in the Krasnodar Territory and Tatarstan. This was announced on July 24 by Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev.
He noted that the situation is also stabilizing against the background of an increase in the number of gas stations operating. In addition, positive trends are observed in the Arkhangelsk and Saratov regions.
According to the head of the Ministry of Energy, the measures taken by the Cabinet of Ministers contributed to this: maximum loading of existing refineries, shortening their repair time, and a ban on the export of petroleum products. Tsivilev clarified that the agency is taking measures together with regional authorities to ensure that the domestic market does not experience shortages.
"The Ministry of Energy pays special attention to the uninterrupted supply of state and municipal services, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations and doctors. Agricultural producers are also included in the priority category of fuel supply," the ministry's Telegram channel says.
The press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia said on June 30 that the agency was monitoring the situation with the availability of fuel from retail chains and did not record systemic complaints about its shortage. In case of possible failures with fuel for retail vehicles, the necessary measures will be promptly taken in coordination with the industry.
On July 21, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak noted at a meeting on the situation on the domestic fuel market that the market was stabilizing, and restrictions were beginning to be lifted in the regions. He also asked the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to pay attention to the increase in gasoline prices and submit reports on the stabilization of this problem.
