"The nuclear agreement being concluded with Saudi Arabia, bypassing Israel, is a serious strategic failure that endangers our security. <...> The enrichment of nuclear fuel in Saudi Arabia could lead to a regional nuclear race and a dangerous loss of control," said former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

Former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that "Saudi Arabia's civilian nuclear program will end with the creation of nuclear weapons and lead to an insane arms race throughout the Middle East."

According to him, Israel should oppose the deal and "convince the US Congress to stop it."
