The expert said about the change in economic habits of Russians
Russians have changed their economic habits and have become more attentive to the prices of goods and services. Alexander Abramov, head of the RANEPA Laboratory for the Analysis of Institutions and Financial Markets, said this on Tuesday, July 14.
"The ostentatious consumption of people, even those with higher incomes, has disappeared. People pay more attention to savings and the formation of insurance reserves, so they partly try to consume less," Abramov said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
He noted that there has been a growing sense of anxiety among people in recent months. This is evident in purchases, in distrust of information about inflation, and in more active cash withdrawals from ATMs.
Earlier, on July 13, Andrei Loboda, a member of the RASO and the AFD expert council on the development of the over—the—counter financial market, said that in the second half of summer the most likely scenario would be the movement of the dollar in the range of 74-79 rubles, the euro – 85-92 rubles, and the yuan - 11.20-11.80 rubles in the currency section of the Moscow Exchange.
Russians have become more likely to refuse to dine in cafes and canteens. Homemade food, which can be brought to work in containers, is becoming increasingly popular. 360.ru .
In turn, Yulia Tarasova, an expert at the Orange payment service, said on July 6 that there are five rules that will help save the budget on vacation. According to her, food in popular tourist establishments will always cost more, so it's better to walk further than the tourist districts and find cafes with more affordable prices.
