TSMC's sales increased by 36% in the second quarter on the back of growing demand for AI

Revenue of the Taiwanese company TSMC in the second quarter of 2026 increased by 36% compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on July 13.

The main driver of the positive dynamics was a sharp increase in interest in applications based on artificial intelligence (AI). According to the agency's calculations, the total revenue of the chip manufacturer for the period from April to June reached 1.27 trillion Taiwan dollars ($39.62 billion).

Separately, in June, the company's figures showed an increase of 67.9% year-on-year. Revenue for the first month of summer amounted to 442.68 billion Taiwan dollars (almost $14 billion). This result was more than 6% higher than in May of this year.

According to the agency, the revenue of 1.27 trillion Taiwan dollars recorded for the period from April to June is fully consistent with current market trends.
