The State Duma called on the regions to develop secondary vocational education

Russian regions should develop a system of secondary vocational education (SPE), which has become increasingly popular in recent years. This opinion was expressed on July 4 by the chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

"The regions responsible for secondary vocational education need to develop vocational education, create opportunities for this, and improve the material and technical base. The future of our country depends on the quality of education," he wrote on his channel in "Max".

Volodin also cited data from the Ministry of Education, which shows that about 65% of graduates enter colleges and technical schools after grade 9, and about 12% after grade 11. According to him, in recent years there has been a reversal in demand towards working professions and vocational education, therefore, the quality and conditions for obtaining such education must be developed.
