The driver of the Gazelle was killed and another man was injured as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Starobilsk – Belovodsk highway section. This was announced on July 3 by the head of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR) Leonid Pasechnik.

"In the morning, on a section of the Starobilsk – Belovodsk road, a UAV of the VFU (armed formations of Ukraine. — Ed.) attacked a Gazelle car that was delivering creamery products. A 50-year-old man died on the spot from his injuries. A 39-year—old man was injured, he was hospitalized in a medical facility," he said in a message on the Maks messenger.

The head of the region expressed his condolences to the relatives of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery. He also clarified that now the consequences of the incident are being recorded by representatives of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

On the same day, Acting Governor of the Bryansk region Egor Kovalchuk announced the death of a man as a result of a kamikaze drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the village of Borshchovo. The tragedy occurred in the Pogarsky district. Kovalchuk said that the family of the deceased will be provided with all necessary assistance.
