- The Russian Foreign Ministry announced Russia's readiness to continue negotiations with Ukraine.
Russia is ready to resume the negotiation process with Ukraine from the stage where it was previously interrupted. This was announced on July 3 by Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
"We are ready to continue negotiations exactly from the point where they stopped," he told RIA Novosti.
According to the deputy minister, political will is needed to continue the dialogue, not only from Kiev, but also from its Western partners, whom he called key participants and beneficiaries of the current crisis.
On the same day, Galuzin said that the demand of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga for Russia to "sit down at the negotiating table" was absurd. According to him, such statements contradict Kiev's official position, since earlier, in October 2022, Ukraine approved a decision banning any negotiations with the Russian leadership.
