Citizens who are getting married for the first time should be supported by providing state subsidies for the celebration. This was announced on July 3 by Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.

"I believe that the state can provide subsidies for the first wedding for young people starting families. I propose to introduce such small certificates," Grib said in an interview with TASS.

In his opinion, financial support could be provided not only by federal, but also by regional or municipal authorities. In addition, business and the education system can join the process if students get married.

The Deputy Secretary of the OP stressed that such a measure would be a good help for new families. At the same time, it is proposed to make the payout amount flexible.
