The defense of blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lercek) has no information about the lawsuit against journalist Otar Kushanashvili against the background of his statements against the blogger. On July 1, Oleg Badma-Khalgaev, Chekaliyoy's lawyer, told Izvestia.

At the end of June, Kushanashvili, who had previously suffered from cancer, questioned the seriousness of Chekalina's diagnosis.

Commenting on the blogger's appearance at the Traditions and Modernity festival in Gostiny Dvor, he stressed that medical institutions do not give permission for serious physical activity in the presence of a threat to life.
