- Otar Kushanashvili questioned the severity of blogger Lercek's illness. The main thing
Journalist Otar Kushanashvili has again criticized blogger Lercek (real name — Valeria Chekalina), questioning the seriousness of her diagnosis. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
Public doubts about Lercek's diagnosis
Kushanashvili, who had previously suffered from cancer, expressed outrage at Chekalina's behavior. His attention was attracted by the blogger's high social activity, which does not match the image of a person with a serious illness. The TV presenter noted that attending social events and the gym with such diagnoses raises questions.
Commenting on the appearance of Athletes at the Traditions and Modernity festival in Gostiny Dvor, he also stressed that medical institutions do not give permission for serious physical activity in the presence of a threat to life. In his opinion, the scale of the disease in the public space may be exaggerated.
"Of course, there is a diagnosis there. But it is exaggerated to cyclopean proportions. <...> It is impossible even to leave the hospital, no one will give permission if there is a threat to health and life there. No one will give the go—ahead to visit the gym," Komsomolskaya Pravda quoted Kushanashvili as saying.
The course of therapy and examinations of patients
Chekalina is currently undergoing her seventh course of chemotherapy due to stage four stomach cancer. Treatment includes both inpatient procedures and taking medications at home. The blogger's fiance, choreographer Luis Squicciarini, confirmed the seriousness of the situation and the presence of a special device on her body to control the administration of drugs.
"The seventh chemistry. Lera is holding up great! Wish me good health and pray for healing. We all believe in it. The children need Lera," said Squicciarini.
At the same time, the prosecutor's office initiated a health check on Chekalina. The reason was complaints about her workouts at the gym. The supervisory authority applied to the court for a re-examination. Lawyer Konstantin Tretyakov noted that the defense is ready for the procedures, as recent examinations have already confirmed the presence of the disease.
Repayment of Lercek's debts
The Chekalin family sold their country house to lawyer Vladimir H. The new owner said that a full legal audit was conducted before the conclusion of the contract, confirming the purity of the transaction. The lawyer refuted the assumptions about the fictitiousness of the purchase, specifying that he had purchased the object at a discount for his family's accommodation.
The proceeds from the sale of real estate were used to settle the blogger's financial obligations. According to the buyer, this allowed Chekalina to avoid bankruptcy and fully repay the debt owed to the state budget.
"This is a very nice and expensive house that no one bought because they didn't want to work with risks. I did not see any risks for myself with proper structuring of the transaction and guaranteed repayment of all debts of the seller. Valeria Chekalina avoided bankruptcy, I received an excellent object with a discount, and the budget of the Russian Federation received full repayment of tax debts," the lawyer said in a conversation with Super, who had documents confirming the transfer of ownership.
Criminal case and public support for Lercek
The situation around the blogger's family is complicated by the investigation of a criminal case on the withdrawal of more than 250 million rubles abroad. Lercek's brother Rodion Chekalin reported additional difficulties that arose after the judge's change in the trial. He urged subscribers to trust only verified information and not respond to rumors on social media.
At the same time, the debate about the authenticity of the blogger's illness continues in the media space. Some participants in the TV broadcasts suggested that the news about cancer could be a marketing ploy to promote cosmetic products. Valeria Chekalina's family responded by publishing medical documents, and her colleagues in the workshop, including Egor Creed and Dana Borisova, expressed support for her.
