Vance is confident in the future exemption of the Strait of Hormuz from tolls

US Vice President Jay Dee Vance said on June 30 that, in his opinion, there would be no payment for passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

"Moreover, I am pretty sure that in the future we will not see the Strait of Hormuz with a toll system for the passage of ships," he said in an interview with journalist Michael Knowles, a video posted on his YouTube channel.

Bloomberg reported on June 26 that the Omani authorities had warned European countries about the possible introduction of fees for the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. According to the agency, a return to the situation that existed before the start of the actions of the United States and Israel against Iran is impossible. It is assumed that fees may be charged for services related to navigation and cleaning of the strait.
