- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus: Zelensky's threats are bravado aimed at Ukraine
The threats of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky against Belarus are bravado aimed at Ukraine's domestic audience. This was announced on June 29 by Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Igor Sekret.
"If the border is crossed without permission or, so to speak, aggressively, we will respond using all our potential," the deputy minister said in an interview with RT.
According to the diplomat, such statements by the Ukrainian leader are aimed at increasing his rating among the population. At the same time, the Belarusian side is constantly monitoring the situation on the state borders.
Sekreta stressed that currently there are no active military preparations on the border with Ukraine, which could indicate preparations for an attack.
On June 25, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about a meeting with Zelensky's representatives, at which he warned the Ukrainian delegation that Kiev's attempt to involve Minsk in the conflict would instantly change its quality. At the same time, he stressed that Minsk does not want to fight with Ukrainians, who in turn do not want to fight with Belarusians.
Zelensky said on June 24 that Belarus had turned off the repeaters, which were allegedly used to adjust strikes on Ukraine from the territory of the republic. According to him, they stopped working on June 22.
