The absolute temperature maximum in the history of meteorological observations was recorded in the Czech Republic: the thermometer exceeded 41 degrees Celsius for the first time. This was announced on June 28 at the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute.

"41.1 degrees Celsius was recorded at the Dokshany station shortly before 15:00 (16:00 Moscow time)," meteorologists noted on the Facebook social network (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation)..

It is noted that this is the first time that such a temperature has been recorded in the country.

An abnormal heat wave was observed in a number of Western European countries at the end of June. On June 27, Reuters reported that residents of French cities were temporarily moving to air-conditioned hotels due to the intense heat. According to the agency, on June 24 in Paris, the temperature reached a record for June of 40.9 degrees Celsius.

Reuters also wrote on June 27 that a new historical temperature record was recorded in Germany: the thermometer exceeded 41 degrees Celsius. High temperatures have already disrupted rail services and electricity generation, forced the cancellation of a number of mass events and led to the closure of some schools.
