The US administration intends to allocate $ 150 million to Venezuela to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake. This is stated in the message of the State Department, which was published on June 25 on the website.

"The United States is providing $150 million in aid to Venezuela through our aid partners," the department said in a statement.

In addition to financial assistance, Venezuela will be provided with immediate search and rescue assistance, as well as air transportation and coordination support.

The earthquake in Venezuela occurred on June 24. The epicenter was located 60 km northwest of the city of Valencia, as well as 28 km northeast of San Felipe. The magnitude of the natural disaster was estimated at 7.5. The earthquake was the strongest in the country since 1900.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that the Russian side is currently exploring the possibility of providing humanitarian assistance to Venezuela. According to her, Russian diplomats are in constant contact with the authorities and emergency services of the republic.
