Vance announced an agreement between the United States and Iran on a communication channel

Washington and Tehran have agreed to create a communication channel to reduce tensions. This was announced on June 25 by Vice President of the United States Jay Dee Vance.

"One of the things we wanted to achieve was a channel from the Iranian side to reduce tensions. And we have achieved this," he said in an interview with UnHerd.

According to him, the United States is registering Iran's desire for a fundamental change in relations not only with Washington, but also with the international community.

He also added that the Iranians are proposing things radically different from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and envisage a stricter inspection regime, as well as the elimination of existing stocks of enriched uranium.

The fragile agreements between Washington and Tehran are on the verge due to Israel's tough stance.

On the same day, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio allowed a deal with Iran only under real and verifiable conditions. He added that all agreements reached by the parties during the negotiations should not contradict the interests of US partners in the region.

US President Donald Trump announced last night that Tehran had agreed to major concessions in the negotiations. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at the same time that Moscow highly appreciates the concluded Iranian-American memorandum and is ready to mediate in the subsequent processes of interaction between these parties.
