Kazan was flooded as a result of heavy rain

The center of Kazan was flooded as a result of a heavy downpour, cars and people were partially or completely submerged in water. This was reported on June 23 by eyewitnesses of the incident on social networks.

Footage from the scene shows how street flower beds and autonomous delivery robots float along the flooded roads. Residents of the city are trying to ford the formed streams of water. The most difficult situation was recorded in the areas of Bauman, Dzerzhinsky and Pushkin streets.

Some citizens, despite the rampant elements, tried to manually pull out delivery robots stuck in deep puddles in order to save equipment from breakdown.

According to weather forecasts, precipitation in the capital of Tatarstan will continue until the end of the day. According to the hydrometeorological center of the republic, heavy rains with thunderstorms, hail and gusty winds are expected in the region in some areas.

Emergency mode was introduced on June 14 in four rural settlements of the Crimean region of Kuban due to the threat of flooding. Local residents were notified of a possible evacuation, and a temporary accommodation center was set up in the village's House of Culture.
