In Finland, the military will be allowed to wear long hair from July 1.

Finnish military personnel will be able to wear long hair from July 1, regardless of gender. On June 22, it became known from the message of the republic's defense forces.

"Updating [the charter] will allow all military personnel to wear a hairstyle based on current recommendations on women's hairstyles," the Yle television and radio company quoted the agency as saying.

At the same time, military personnel will be prohibited from wearing long hair loose. Currently, according to the regulations, Finnish male soldiers must wear short and neat hairstyles.
