The tour expert spoke about the record drop in prices for tours in the UAE
Prices for tours to popular Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE, have fallen to record levels, showing a fourfold decrease. This was announced on June 22 by Dmitry Arutyunov, CEO of the Art-Tour company.
The expert noted that despite the absence of military tension in the region, recent events have had a strong impact on the tourism industry. He included the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in the list of destinations with the most affordable price list.
"This is a long—awaited situation, because there have been no tensions there for a long time <...>. Therefore, we are already seeing pent-up demand," Arutyunov explained in an interview with NSN.
Arutyunov added that the current cost reduction is also related to the seasonal factor. The traditional drop in demand at this time of year encourages hoteliers to offer extreme discounts. According to him, some hotels accept tourists for three or four nights for the price of one.
"That is, prices have fallen three to four times. I'm not even talking about the fact that flights are becoming more affordable in the summer. For example, the best five—star hotels that cost $1,000 a day can now be booked for $200 per room," he stressed.
In the budget segment, the cost of living now ranges from $50-70 per night per room. The head of the company also recommended considering Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha as transit hubs. In his opinion, low prices allow tourists to make short stops for several days for shopping and relaxing in hotels before further flights.
Oksana Vlasenko, an expert at the OnlineTours package tour booking service, said on June 13 that in summer Russians are increasingly choosing foreign destinations that do not require a visa in advance. The priority remains countries with convenient logistics, short flights and the ability to quickly organize a vacation without unnecessary formalities.
