Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed to prepare a strategy for the development of digital platforms by February 2027. This was reported on the website of the Government of the Russian Federation on June 22.

"Russia will develop a strategy for the development of a segment of digital platforms, including those with state participation. The order was given by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin," the document says.

The Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance, together with other federal agencies and the Russian Export Center, have been instructed to prepare the document. They should submit proposals for the development of platforms in various sectors of the economy, taking into account the expected economic impact.

As part of the work on the strategy, it is planned to identify priority areas of platformization, requirements for data, architecture and information security of platforms, as well as approaches to the use of artificial intelligence.

In addition, monitoring of the use of digital platforms is being organized in Russia. Based on it, an annual report will be prepared on their relevance and impact on the economy, including GDP, employment, inflation and retail trade.

On June 19, the Government approved a list of training areas and specialties for the new higher education system. The document noted that admission to study under the pilot project for the transition to a new higher education system will start with the admission campaign of the 2026/27 academic year.
