As a result of the collision of two trains of the British railway company East Midlands Railway in Elstow, 100 people were killed and injured. This was reported by The Guardian newspaper on June 20, citing the police.

"The number of people with minor injuries has increased to 57. Thus, the total number of victims reached 100, including 11 people who received very serious injuries," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, 32 people received serious injuries as a result of the incident.
