The MAYOR cancelled the recommendation to suspend the sale of tours to the Middle East

The Ministry of Economic Development (MAYOR) of the Russian Federation has canceled recommendations for Russian citizens to refrain from traveling to the Middle East. The corresponding message was published on June 19 on the agency's website.

It is clarified that the decision was made on the basis of a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the changing situation in the region. We are talking about lifting restrictions on visits for private and tourist purposes to Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Despite the lifting of restrictions, the Ministry urged travelers to remain vigilant.

"Russian citizens planning trips to these countries are advised to exercise vigilance and caution, as well as closely monitor the communications of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian Foreign Ministry and Russian diplomatic missions," the ministry said in a statement.

Representatives of the tourism industry have also been given new instructions. When selling tours to the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, tour operators and agents are advised to provide customers with up-to-date information about the situation in the country of temporary residence.

It is noted that the reason for the decision was the signed memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.

On June 17, the United States and Iran signed a memorandum on the cessation of hostilities. The document was signed remotely. On the same day, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, stressed that Washington would resume bombing Iran if no final agreement was reached within 60 days, as indicated in the memorandum.
