The auction for the sale of shares of the distillery seized for the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not take place

The auction for the sale of 72.9% of the seized shares of the Amber Talvis distillery in the Tambov region, which were seized from businessman Yuri Shefler (included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists) for supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), did not take place. It follows from the data on the GIS "Auctions" website on June 19.

"An electronic auction for the sale of shares of the Amber Talvis Joint Stock Company. It did not take place," the lot card says.

It is indicated that the initial share price was set at 3.9 billion rubles, but no bids were submitted.

On August 27, 2024, the press service of the main interregional directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of the Russian Federation (GMU FSSP RF) reported that the bailiffs transferred the assets of Schefler to the state revenue.

In early July of the same year, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation demanded that Schefler and a number of his companies be recognized as an extremist association and assets in the Russian Federation be seized in favor of the state. According to the supervisory authority, his companies carry out marketing activities in support of Ukraine, and the profits of one of the businessman's companies go abroad. At the same time, the Tambov District Court arrested Amber Talvis JSC, owned by Schefler, as part of a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General's Office.

Prior to that, on June 17, it was reported that the rights to use the Moskovskaya and Stolichnaya vodka brands in the Benelux countries were sold for €1.6 million to Spirits International at an auction in The Hague. Spirits International offered the highest price among the three participating companies. The company is part of Schefler's SPI Group.
