A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of forces improved the tactical situation and defeated the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost over 195 people and 12 vehicles.

The western group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. In Krasny Liman, the stormtroopers continued to advance and captured 48 buildings and blocked the enemy. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 210 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, 18 vehicles and two self-propelled artillery installations.

As a result of active and decisive actions, the military personnel of the southern group of forces liberated the village of Rai-Alexandrovka in the DPR, improved the tactical situation and hit the enemy in the areas of the republic's settlements. Russian troops also continued their advance in Konstantinovka and liberated 98 buildings. The enemy lost over 165 militants, 24 vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle and a field artillery cannon.

Units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to over 285 people, two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and a self-propelled artillery installation.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 445 soldiers, eight vehicles and a 155 mm Paladin self-propelled artillery system made in the USA.

Fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of the Armed Forces brigades in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 60 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, 21 vehicles, a field artillery piece and six electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the storage sites of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.

Air defense systems shot down 10 guided aerial bombs, three US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, four Flamingo long-range cruise missiles and 992 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 164,703 unmanned aerial vehicles, 662 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,819 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,740 multiple rocket launchers, 35,395 field artillery and mortars, 64,357 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
