Lieutenant Grumeza destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces firing point with grenades

Lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Russia Yevgeny Grumeza, who was performing a combat mission as part of an assault unit, destroyed the firing point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) along with the personnel inside. This was announced on June 17 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that Grumeza, along with other attack aircraft, carried out a combat mission to capture an enemy stronghold. During the advance, the group was stopped by enemy fire. The soldier managed to unnoticeably bypass the machine-gun position from the flank and destroy the firing point and the AFU militants with hand grenades.

Thanks to the actions of Grumesa, the combat mission was completed, which contributed to the further advancement of the Russian units.

In addition, under the leadership of Senior Sergeant Anatoly Gabrilevich, who acted as part of the reinforcement group, the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces managed to destroy enemy reinforcements and prevent the return of their lost strongholds. During the repulse of the attack, Gabrilevich concentrated the group's fire on the most dangerous areas, which prevented the Ukrainian militants from approaching the positions, and also eliminated several soldiers personally.

According to the Ministry of Defense, as a result of the fire action, the AFU formations suffered heavy losses and were forced to retreat. Thanks to Gabrilevich's professionalism and courage, the combat mission to hold the stronghold was completed.

On June 16, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces had captured two strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under the leadership of Second Lieutenant Oleg Yerakhtin.
