The participants of the SVO laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and soldiers of the Joint Group of Forces in the Special Military Operation Zone (SVO), who took part in a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden in Moscow on June 14.
After the laying of commemorative wreaths by the Guard of Honor, flowers were brought to the memorial by senior officers and the Minister of Defense, and then the heroes of the SVR.
The soldiers who died defending the Fatherland were honored with a minute of silence. The ceremony ended with a solemn march of the Honor Guard company.
At a meeting with the participants of the CBO in the Kremlin on June 12, Vladimir Putin pointed to the West's awareness of the impossibility of defeating Russia. Speaking about the holiday itself, he called it the heroes of the Russian military, who historically do a common cause. During his speech, the Russian president reiterated Moscow's willingness to negotiate with Kiev, but stressed that they should be based on modern realities.
