- The political scientist called the purpose of mutual threats from Washington and Tehran to each other
Political analyst Konstantin Blokhin said that the United States and Iran are at the stage of preparing for possible negotiations. In his opinion, ultimatums and declarations of victory in the public field are elements of a diplomatic game and are aimed at strengthening the negotiating positions of the parties. At the same time, the expert stressed that it is premature to talk about the beginning of full-fledged negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
"I do not rule out that some preparations have begun for negotiations at the level of "probing the ground," the political scientist said in an interview with the Mail News on Tuesday, June 9.
