Golikova called the main task to teach employees how to use AI technologies.

By 2032, the introduction of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics will increase labor productivity in the range from 21 to 33%. For this reason, it is important to train employees to use the new resource. This was stated on June 5 by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova at the session "Labor Market 2.0: the Dictatorship of AI, the Transformation of skills and professions" at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).

"AI is a tool for improving, first of all, one's own productivity. And here, of course, the training of personnel with the necessary competencies comes to the fore, which is very important for our higher education," she explained.

Golikova stressed that we are talking about changing specific responsibilities within the professional framework. In this regard, it is important to form a database of work tasks that are implemented using AI, robotics, and even remote employment.

"This allows us to analyze professions as a set of tasks, rather than a fixed category, and this is key from the point of view of introducing artificial intelligence," said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

She added that if the potential of new technologies is realized by 30%, the total staffing requirement may decrease by 10% — first of all, this may affect the sphere of trade, as well as storage and transportation.

It is expected that the educational block and state corporations will form proposals for in-depth preparation of educational programs, taking into account the introduction of AI, new digital technologies and technologies by July 1 of this year.

Almost half of their tasks, as the specialist explained, are becoming automated. According to her, this does not mean the disappearance of professions, but only their structural transformation. On June 5, she outlined a trend in the labor market, according to which employees "stick to work at all costs," feeling unstable.
