The first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line is planned to open before the end of 2026. This was announced on Thursday, June 4, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction, at the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to him, the readiness is already approaching 90%. The new line will be introduced in stages in 2026-2027. In total, 10 stations will appear on it — from the Business Center to Novorizhskaya, which will provide a direct connection between Moscow City and the Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye district. The first section includes the Zvenigorodskaya, Narodnoe Opolchenie and General Karbyshev Boulevard stations, as well as the operating Business Center and Shelepikha stations, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
The metropolitan Urban Development complex clarified that finishing works, installation and commissioning of engineering systems are currently underway at the stations of the first section, and construction of the main structures continues at the next five stations.
The total length of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line will exceed 27 km, and it will include 12 stations with transfers to several metro lines and the MCC, the website notes. kp.ru . Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin instructed to accelerate the pace of construction of a new branch line.
In April, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, noted that the launch of the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line would accelerate movement around the city for more than 550 thousand people. In general, the new line will improve transport services for almost 1 million residents of seven districts of the city.
