The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is an excellent platform for exchanging contacts with representatives of Russian companies. On June 3, Samedi Hong, the trade attache of the Cambodian Embassy in Moscow, told Izvestia on the sidelines of the site.

"This forum is very important for both foreigners and Russian companies. I found that there are many programs on this forum that can attract both foreign investors and those who are interested in Russian companies. Visitors use the opportunity to listen to the speakers in order to better understand different topics," the source said.

According to him, the forum is notable for the diversity of companies, as well as the opportunity to communicate with representatives of Russian companies and get their contacts. Thus, according to Hong, he can benefit his country.

In addition, Chioma Dozi, Pharmaceutical Director at Dochiva Pharmatech Nig Ltd, shared with Izvestia how important the Russian market is for Nigerian companies. She is currently working on a project to establish a pharmaceutical sterile manufacturing company in Nigeria. For this reason, she emphasizes, it is especially important to get something that can really be implemented in business, as well as establish strong partnerships.

"First of all, it helps to strengthen ties between our countries. I studied in Russia myself, so I already have certain relationships and connections with Russians. Such cooperation will further strengthen these ties and open up new opportunities for both Russia and Nigeria. Nigeria is interested in localizing production, not just importing products," the director said.

On June 3, foreign participants of SPIEF 2026, in an interview with Izvestia, highly appreciated the level of organization of the forum. Asif Iqbal, President of the Indian Economic and Trade Organization, noted the large number of Russian-made robots and unmanned technologies at the site. In turn, Director General of the Tunisian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohamed Ali Huertani called the exhibition incredible, noting the scale and variety of stands.
