Forecaster and meteorologist Alexander Shuvalov told Izvestia on May 26 that June is a transitional month between spring and the peak of summer, so both abnormal cold and extreme heat can be recorded this month. At the same time, the average monthly temperature in June can vary greatly from year to year.

On May 25, the channel of the urban economy complex of the capital warned that rains and wind strengthening up to 17 m/s were expected in Moscow in the next two days. Residents of the city were urged to be careful outside in bad weather: do not hide under trees and do not park cars near them.
