The dollar index, which reflects the exchange rate of the US currency against the six major world currencies, began to recover after the market regained its previous growth amid the conflict over Iran, the article says.

Analysts believe that an additional signal for strengthening will be the growth of the index above 100.6 points. If the current trend continues, the dollar may rise to levels that have not been seen since the beginning of 2026, the article notes. At the same time, experts warn that if the exchange rate starts to decline again, this may increase expectations of a further weakening of the US currency.

Yesterday, Andrey Loboda, a member of the RASO and the expert council of the Association of Forex Dealers on the development of the over-the-counter financial market, noted that the dollar is likely to maintain a moderate strengthening against the ruble until the beginning of summer, and by June 1, the exchange rate will be in the range of 71-75 rubles. It is noted that in the context of a decrease in oil, the probability of an increase in the US currency to around 73 rubles remains high.
