The Interior Ministry showed footage of an accident involving a Nizhny Novgorod businessman

The son of Nizhny Novgorod businessman Sergey Kornilov, driving a Mercedes, collided with a car from oncoming traffic, provoking a massive accident. The video from the scene was published on May 21 by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

According to the agency, the accident occurred around 14:00 Moscow time on May 20. The footage shows how a yellow Mercedes, moving along the far left lane, drove into oncoming traffic. Immediately after that, he collided with a Kia car, which was turned around by the impact and pushed into a neighboring Nissan.

It is noted that no one was injured in the incident, only cars were damaged. The culprit of the accident refused to undergo a medical examination. His car was seized with the help of a tow truck and taken to a specialized parking lot.

Izvestia learned about the accident caused by Kornilov on May 21. Before the incident, Kornilov posted a video on his Telegram channel, in which he stated with a glass of wine in his hands that he had drunk a lot. Four administrative materials were drawn up against him on the fact of the incident.

It was noted that when checking the young man, it turned out that before this accident he had already been involved in numerous administrative responsibilities. After the accident, he told Izvestia that he went to a restaurant.

The young man is the son of the CEO of the State Corporation (GC) Louisaur, who died in 2024. This organization is engaged in the creation of special equipment, metal products, as well as the sale and maintenance of machines. In the footage that appeared online, the culprit of the accident behaved rudely.
