Monday, May 18, became the warmest day in Moscow since the beginning of 2026 — the air warmed up to +29.1 degrees. Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported this on his Telegram channel.

"Before that, May 7 was in the lead with a temperature of +28.8 degrees," the Moscow City News agency quoted the forecaster as saying.

Leus added that the temperature increase is still continuing, so the exact value of the maximum of the day will be known after 21:00, when readings from the maximum thermometers will be taken, writes "Moscow 24".

The forecaster noted that the temperature reached is already nine degrees higher than the climatic norm of today, according to the website. kp.ru .

According to him, the daily record maximum temperature for May 18 is +30.8 degrees.
