This year, Moscow will host at least three major international projects in the museum industry. This was announced by the head of the Moscow Department of Culture, Alexei Fursin, as part of the celebration of the International Museum Day.

"This year we are actively working to expand the geography of inter-museum projects. The joint exhibition "Spring Festival. New Year's Eve in old Beijing." The Second International Biennale "Art of the Future" is being held at the Multimedia Art Museum until June. Representatives of three foreign countries were involved in its creation. In autumn, the Historical Museum will open the exhibition "Terracotta Warriors. Guardians of eternity." At the moment, we have identified the list of exhibits and are preparing the exposition," Fursin said.

According to him, this year's exhibitions are a continuation of a cycle of large-scale international and national projects based on city museums. Moscow launched it last year and at the same time held a successful joint project with colleagues from India — the exhibition "India. The Fabric of Time" at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve.

"We also have a number of other international exhibitions in our plans until 2030. Today we are negotiating with colleagues from museums in Mexico, China, Brazil and other countries," the head of the department added.

Earlier it was reported that the annual action of the Department of Culture "Night at the Museum", held on May 16 and 17, is dedicated to the International Museum Day. Over 600 events were held at 170 venues — museums, exhibition halls, libraries and parks. Guests were able to join excursions, lectures, concerts, performances, exhibitions and master classes, as well as explore the expositions for free.
