Sadovnichy noted the high level of the ISAA teaching staff

Faculty of the Institute of Asian and African Studies (ISAA) Lomonosov Moscow State University has always been distinguished by its high level of professionalism. This was announced on May 16 by the rector of the university, Viktor Sadovnichy.

"It's a legend. Since the establishment of <...> ISAA, teachers have always been distinguished by a high level of professionalism. And today, the 70th anniversary of the Institute of Asian and African Countries," Sadovnichy said.

He noted that the university had received congratulations from Russian President Vladimir Putin, and many ambassadors had spoken at the anniversary. The scientist stressed that the priority task of the institute's management is to preserve and enhance traditions, develop unique scientific schools, expand language training and international scientific cooperation.

The event was attended by members of the Academic Council and heads of departments of the Institute, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense of Russia, expert and business communities, as well as diplomatic missions of Asian, African and Middle Eastern states.

On the same day, in his congratulatory message on the 70th anniversary of the Institute, Putin said that the staff of the ISAA of Lomonosov Moscow State University was contributing to the training of qualified and sought-after personnel who would subsequently strengthen Russia's position on the world stage. The Head of State noted that specialists who graduated from ISAA are in demand in the civil and diplomatic service, find their place in journalism, business, and other fields.

On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov recalled his first steps in learning Turkish at ISAA. According to him, initially he wanted to learn Arabic, but he could not score enough points for this. For his poor performance in the distribution exam, he was sent "as punishment" to a group studying the national language of Turkey, which he later fell in love with.
