Alexander Umnov, Senior lecturer at the Department of Surgery at the Medical Faculty of the State University of Education, spoke about the timing of the formation of domestic alcoholism.

In conversation with Lenta.Ru On Friday, May 15, the specialist noted that domestic alcoholism develops with regular alcohol consumption throughout the year.

The doctor noted that at this stage there is already harm to health, but a pronounced dependence has not yet been formed. According to him, a person controls the amount of alcohol, consumes it regularly, but in moderate amounts and looks almost indistinguishable from a non-drinker.

At the same time, the expert emphasized that even such "moderate" consumption gradually harms the body: internal organs wear out, and the risk of developing a full-fledged addiction increases over time.

In April, psychiatrist and narcologist Vasily Shurov warned about the dangers of beer alcoholism. According to him, beer can be no less dangerous to health than strong alcoholic beverages, the website notes. kp.ru . When converted to ethyl alcohol, it turns out that beer drinkers get about the same amount of alcohol as those who drink vodka, only in a more diluted form, writes 360.ru .

In February, psychiatrist and narcologist Ruslan Isaev said that women's alcohol dependence often develops less noticeably than men's due to a combination of social and biological factors. Effective care should be directed not only at the use itself, but also at the causes — anxiety, burnout or depressive symptoms, NSN notes.

At the same time, Isaev spoke about the differences between domestic drunkenness and a clinical disorder. The expert noted that domestic drunkenness is regular alcohol consumption without obvious signs of dependence, binge drinking and serious medical or social consequences, which remains a part of a person's daily life.

In November, Isaev said that alcoholism often begins with a "little bit after work" approach. The formation of addiction is a consequence of the loss of quantitative and situational control, RT reports.
