The car expert gave advice on cleaning the car from dirt and reagents

In the spring, it makes sense to carry out not just a regular car wash, but a thorough cleaning of the body with the removal of stubborn road deposits. Preventive protection of the paintwork will also be useful — with wax, protective polish or professional detaling. This makes it easier to wash off summer dust, insect tracks and slows down the development of corrosion on microscopes, Nikita Rodionov, technical director of the international franchise network of Fit Service car services, told Izvestia on May 15.

"It is worth washing the bottom and the exposed suspension elements separately. Over the winter, a layer of dirt and salt accumulates there, which retains moisture and accelerates metal corrosion. After washing on the lift, you can inspect the thresholds, spars, suspension mounts and exhaust system, clean the first pockets of rust to metal and treat them with primer, followed by the application of protective compounds. This extends the life of the body and simplifies future repairs," explained Rodionov.

In addition, as the expert noted, wiper blades often leave streaks after winter and do not remove dirt and insects well. It is better to replace them in advance, along with checking the operation of the washer and adjusting the position of the injectors.

It is also worth making sure that all outdoor and indoor lighting devices are working properly — in summer, long trips and night routes are more common, when the serviceability of brake lights, dimensions and low and high beam headlamps is critical, the specialist added.
