Vyacheslav Gladkov, the former governor of the Belgorod Region, was awarded the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky. This was announced on May 15 by Alexey Eremin, Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Central Federal District (CFD), during his speech at the official presentation ceremony of Acting Governor Alexander Shuvaev in the government of the Belgorod Region.
"Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Gladkov was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
It is noted that the relevant decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
