An outbreak of Ebola has been recorded in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which has killed 65 people. There is growing concern in the region that the virus will begin to spread outside the country, Bloomberg reported on May 15.

At the moment, about 246 cases of the disease have been registered in the Congo. According to the newspaper, regional health authorities held an emergency meeting to coordinate actions.

Bloomberg recalls that Ebola is one of the deadliest infectious diseases in the world. The disease can cause fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and internal bleeding.
