Estimates and satellite images of American intelligence agencies indicate that the words about the complete destruction of Iran's military potential are unreliable. The New York Times (NYT) wrote about this on May 13, citing sources.

"It is estimated that Iran still has approximately 70% of its mobile launchers throughout the country and has retained about 70% of its pre-war missile arsenal.<...> Iran has restored access to approximately 90% of its underground storage facilities and missile launchers throughout the country," the material says.

The authors of the article clarified that the US administration receives this information privately from American intelligence agencies. It is also known that only three Iranian military bases along the coast of the Gulf of Hormuz have been completely destroyed and can no longer be operated. In all other cases, the Islamic Republic has fully or partially restored the ability to use launchers or parts of them for firing.

On May 2, the day his administration received a 14-point settlement plan from Tehran, US President Donald Trump said he wanted to destroy all of Iran's remaining missile potential. The next day, he rejected the Islamic Republic's proposal to end the conflict, calling it unacceptable.

On May 5, the US president said in an interview with ABC News that he had completely destroyed Iran's Navy and most of its army. According to Trump, it will take Iran 20 years to fully repair all the damage caused by the US Armed Forces.
