Forecaster predicted warm and rainy weather in Moscow this week
Warm but rainy weather is expected in Moscow this week. Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, told Izvestia about this on May 12.
According to him, the fog that is observed today will dissipate in the afternoon, after which the temperature will be set at +20...+23 degrees from Wednesday.
"On Friday and Saturday, the capital will be covered by rains, sometimes quite intense. During precipitation, the temperature can drop to +16...+18 degrees, but during periods without rain, the air will warm up again to +21...+23 degrees," the expert explained.
As the forecaster noted, such indicators exceed the climatic norm for mid-May by 3-5 degrees.
Nighttime temperatures will also remain significantly above average values — around +12...+14 degrees. As a result, the average daily temperature this week in Moscow will be noticeably higher than normal and will exceed +15 degrees.
Marina Makarova, a leading employee of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said on May 2 that the meteorological summer will come in the Moscow region on May 26. As the meteorologist noted, this is most important for people working in the agricultural sector. At the same time, the weather conditions will allow all other Russians to feel the onset of the summer season.
