The Russian Ambassador to Japan spoke about Russian-Japanese trade relations

The majority of exports from Russia to Japan are made up of liquefied natural gas and aquatic biological resources, while used cars are mainly supplied to Russia. This was announced on May 11 by Russian Ambassador Nikolai Nozdryov.

"Most of the domestic exports are LNG from the Sakhalin-2 project and aquatic biological resources. The Japanese side mainly supplies used cars," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The ambassador explained this by Tokyo's anti-Russian policy, which specifically creates unfavorable business conditions.

Entrepreneurs are interested in unfreezing projects in agriculture, medicine, and smart cities.

Nozdryov previously called the state of relations between Moscow and Tokyo an "ice age." According to the diplomat, this situation has developed due to Tokyo's decision to support anti-Russian sanctions. Nozdryov stressed that the Japanese authorities went along with Western countries following an anti-Russian course.

Later, Nozdryov said that the positive groundwork in Russian-Japanese relations, which had been created over the decades, had been almost completely destroyed by Tokyo's policy. Nozdryov recalled that relations between Russia and Japan used to include many effective formats of interaction.
