Iran's Supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei suffered back and knee injuries during the US and Israeli strikes, and he is now on the mend. This was announced on May 9 by the head of the protocol service of the office of the Supreme Leader, Mazaher Hosseini.

According to him, Khamenei was hit by an explosive wave, after which he fell.

"As a result, he suffered a minor injury to his knee and back. The back injury has healed over time, and the knee will heal soon. He is in perfect health," the Youm7 portal quotes Hosseini as saying.

The head of the protocol service of the office of the Supreme leader of Iran clarified that there were also rumors in the press about a forehead wound, but in fact Khamenei only has a small cut behind his ear, which is almost invisible.

The New York Times reported on April 23 that Khamenei was allegedly seriously injured in U.S. and Israeli strikes.

On April 28, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that the US administration believes that Iran's supreme leader is alive and has no evidence to the contrary. He added that the White House still has questions about the internal decision-making system in Iran.
