A sharp cold snap will begin in Moscow on Friday, May 8. Alexander Golubev, head of the department of short-term weather forecasts at the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, told RIA Novosti on Thursday, May 7.

According to the forecaster, on May 8, the air temperature in the capital will decrease by about 10 degrees and will range from +15 to +18 degrees.

"Over the weekend, the temperature will be even lower than the climatic norm due to the arrival of the cold Arctic air mass, which will linger in Moscow until May 12," Golubev quotes. 360.ru .

The meteorologist noted that cloudy weather will remain in the capital, and the air will warm up to +13...+15 degrees.

On this day, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported that on May 7, the air in the Moscow region warmed up to +30 degrees, the Moscow City News agency reports. This temperature was recorded by the meteorological stations of Kolomna, Voskresensk and the Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve, Moscow 24 clarifies.

Marina Makarova, a leading employee of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said on May 2 that meteorological summer will begin in the Moscow region on May 26. As the meteorologist noted, this is most important for people working in the agricultural sector. At the same time, the weather conditions will allow all other Russians to feel the onset of the summer season.
